Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) governer spring kit and afc adjustment?

i have a tst#5 kit installed on my 96' 3500. (just bought it, 1st time CTD owner) what will a governer spring kit mod accomplish and likewise for the afc adjustment. (btw, is there a forum dedicated to basic technical engine and performance issues cuz it feels like everyone here talks about this stuff in shorthand as if its common knowledge OR anyone have advice on a book(s) for people like me i. e. clueless, but tryin' and eager to learn... why i'm here actually)

The governor spring kits (gsk) allow the Bosch P7100 fuel pump to rev past the factory settings. In my opinion one of the best upgrades for the $. It doesn't add power in itself, but it makes the engine more responsive and allows for easier transitions between gears when towing. The most common types of gsk are 3K rpm and 4K rpm. You will probably want heavy duty (60 lb. ) intake/exhaust springs for the 4K set.



There are several adjustments to the AFC (Air Fuel Control) that can be made. The housing can be slid fwd/aft, the plate inside can be changed or slid fwd/aft, governor arm adjustments, starwheel tightening/loosening, AFC spring replacement, etc. These adjustments mainly control the rate and amount of pre-boost fueling and/or fueling levels once boost is built up i. e. smoke, power, and
