Governer Spring Kit

I just ordered a governer spring from Piers. 4000 RPMs will be cool. Here's my question...



The torque plate is the stop and already has the defueling side. Does the governer spring kit delay the rack from following this side?

I do believe that it travels up the plate later than it would be without the govenor kit. You might want to ask Piers but I think the lever (not sure that is the correct name but I'm sure you know what I am talking about) will be on a differnt spot on the cam plate at the same RPM. Everything will happen later. I think this is the key to the devlopment of the govenor kit to make it work with our exsisting cam plates but with some of them it takes a little tweeking.

I think something gets tweaked with the plates. According to Mark, the 4. 8 plate was designed for gov spring fanatics. Maybe someone knows what changes.
