Was going back through a few old posts and noticed several members wanting a how to on replacing the governor pressure transducer and/or sensor. So I shot a few photos to make things a bit easier to understand for those that may not have been in the automatic before.
The procedure is very easy and does not require the removal of the valve body. First remove the pan and save the gasket. If it is not damaged it can be reused. If not replace it. Drop the filter by removing the two T25 Torx screws. The transducer and pressure sensor are held to the valve body by three bolts and two T25 Torx screws with a stamped steel bracket. Remove the bolts and screws and remove the bracket. Pull the transducer straight out of the valve body. Once it is out you can pull the pressure sensor out also if you decided to replace it. The pressure sensor may have a red lock tab on the wiring connector. Slide it back, and then depress the lock. While you're at it you might as well adjust the rear band since the pan is off. Follow the service manual for the proper amount of torque and number of turns backed off from the torque setting. Oil the O ring on the new transducer and reverse the procedure to install.
Torque the Torx screws to 35 in/lbs, the three valve body bolts to 100 in/lbs, and the pan bolts to 120 in/lbs. If you don't drop the valve body down to completely drain the trans it should take about 4 quarts to refill.
