I use the DeLorme Earthmate USB GPS and a tablet PC when I travel. It is a great system but I don't like the antenna cable and receiver unit on top of the dash. It tends to slide around and the suction cup does not hold well. I like a neat installation without wires running everywhere.

I noticed in the service manual that there is a recess under the top dash panel where the factory GPS antenna is mounted if you have that option. You can see a small round grille in the center of the top dash panel toward the windshield. Below that is where the factory unit goes.

I removed the top panel and took some foam rubber and secured my GPS unit in the round recess where the factory unit goes. I routed the cable down to the ashtray (You have to remove the radio to get to the wiring, but it is easy to do). I store the USB cable in the ashtray when not in use. If you are a smoker you can find other places to exit the cable from the dash. It works great! :)
