Dkevdog,
Advanced GPS sells the GPS V for $369 with free shipping, with all unlock codes for $424.
You can get the GPS V with all unlock codes for $419 from GPS City but pay for shipping.
On Street Pilot III, those websites are selling them at least $50 cheaper than I have seen them going for on EBay.
Oliver88,
I have a HP Jornada and was looking to add a GPS unit to it, but in doing research, it appeared to me that the stand alone GPS is far better. Much quicker response and most are pretty waterproof (can be submerged 1 meter for 20 min. with no damage). The GPS V can be used for hiking or when walking around unfamiliar city streets to find addresses or where you parked your car. One website that sold GPS units for PDAs said it would update only every 15 sec. due to licensing agreements. The regular GPS will update every second. If you are driving on a highway and see something you want to check out, truck, restaurant, shop, etc. no need to stop or write down the address. Just hit waypoint on the GPS and it will instantly record the location where you hit the button while you are moving. Later you can look up the waypoint, log it in as your destination, and it will guide you there from where you are. It will estimate your ETA based on speed you are driving and routes you have to take. I found the ETA feature very accurate and will adjust if you get stuck in traffic. So far accuracy on ETA have been about 1 minute. It has tons of features that I haven't tried yet. I have only had mine for 5 days, but did a lot of research before buying.
