Grand Canyon RV park

heads up if you are travelling to Grand Canyon and planning on staying at Camper Village in Tusayan just south of the south entrance.



I have in the past few years stayed at the above park for a week or so around the 4th of July and yesterday called for reservations. The park is under new management and a full hook up site costs $48. 99 a night. An increase from $20 something last year.



Apparently the State of Az. closed the park last year due to issues and the new owners seem to think the fee is justified for the necessary work that was done to reopen the park... ... ... ????

There are some premium, highly restricted, campgrounds that don't charge that much.



What extra service are they giving?

That's pretty stiff. Other than it's location, it's not even all that nice. I've also stayed in the non-RV campground, but there are not very many sites big enough to handle most RV's. I'm sure the problem will be worse now.
