Have three grandsons, two oldest have spent a lot of time with us. The newest one (just turned 3) is doing his first overnight with us.
What a joy!!

Every toy in the house is out and “Cars” is blaring on the TV in the den because “Lightin’ McQueen” is his favorite thing ever...

Wouldn’t have it any other way.....

Mike,
I agree - grandkids are great! We had our youngest (almost two) here the other day and she had the house looking just like yours. We had our two eldest living with us when they were two and three while our daughter and her husband were both deployed to the Middle East. We really enjoyed that experience, but quickly learned why we have kids when we are young! Our SIL is career army, so they have lived all over and we sure missed seeing them! Hopefully, yours stay close.

Told us he didn’t really like breakfast??? Only ate bread he called “Toast” but he didn’t want it put in the toaster...

We will probably be in trouble but so far this morning he has eaten French Toast, Bacon, fresh pineapple and raspberries, and a half a toasted bagel with cream cheese.....son will have to up his game in the morning from now on.....:D:D:D:D

Good thing they were up last weekend for lunch so we could learn a few terms before this weekend...

Wants to go to “The Blue Store” later today....

Walmart.......

Mike; they are great and do grow up very quick so, enjoy them while you can. We take ours camping with us for a long weekend when the are young. Than we have slowly worked up to a week. Our oldest two ages 14 and 12 have stop camping with us because of sporting conflicts in the summer months and than school sports. We are now breaking in the younger three grand children ages 6,4 and 3.

Mike, our house looks like that all the time. Our youngest child just turned 4. We have just given up on putting anything away at this point. Figure it will just be easier to wait until she goes to college and just move.

The first “Cars” is actually a awesome flick. How about when Mack first starts up? And when he dozes off on the highway?

The original came out when my oldest was about a year old. She must have watched that show 10,000 times when she was little. She also just had to have those light up Lightning McQueen shoes every time we purchased her a pair. She would run around making the shoes light up yelling "Grrrrrrr.........Cars".

All ammo that will be used against her, including pics, if she ever gets married......LOL

Walmart.......

We have 2 Walmart stores near us. One approx 10 miles north and one 7-8 miles south.

The one north of us was just "Walmart" to our oldest.

The one south was affectionately called "Present Walmart". Her mother bought her a toy the first time she and my daughter shopped there together so of course she needed a present every time they went there.

So I got in from a hard 12 hour shift today, had a awesome dinner. Settled on the couch and planned to hit the sack early to rest up for another 8-12 tomorrow. My daughter gets a impulse unbeknown to me and scrambles to her room and comes back with..... “CARS”. We haven’t seen it in a while. This thread made me think of it today, and I don’t know why she did what she did, but I watched most of it just now.
I know it’s a fake kids movie, but there’s so much truth, so many great lessons and so many little nuggets for car people in that movie, it’s incredible.
We’ve all been watching it over and over since it came out, but I noticed just now, when Lightning McQueen is getting spruced up to leave town, he gets convinced that he needs the white wall tires behind the curtain. Those tires are called “Fettucini Alfredo” tires. All of us watching couldn’t believe we had never noticed that before!
