How to deal with a strike

What's your favorite blonde joke?

Are all grease guns alike? Is one better than another? Mt problem: I use Amsoil synthetic grease on all my zirk fittings. After a while wether stored inside or out the grease begins to liquify and start leaking out of the gun. Is this normal? Am I not using it fast enough? Any suggestions? It makes such a mess:mad:

It all does it. Keeping it out of the sun helps.

I put an old sock over the tubular part of my guns followed by a plastic bag then another sock. If the sock is loose use a rubber band to hold it. Old sweat shirt sleeves with the cuff end sewed or stapled shut work even better. You can also tuck the hose end into the sock when the gun is in storage to keep it clean. Another advantage is you also have a built in rag.

Using it up faster will help. It only happens to me if it sits in the gun too long. Not usually a problem for me. We go through quite a bit of grease on the farm.

It just happens, I have a nifty plastic lined box i store it in. Keep a rag handy because it's always dirty as hell.
