So What does it Look like under Your Hood ?

A week with Jeff Garmon’s personal truck

Under the hood of my 05 4x4 on the radiator support there is a sticker that says to grease the front driveline every time that you change the oil. The picture looks like it is pointing to the front driveshaft where the double universals are that connects to the transfer case. But when I look, I do not see any grease fittings to be greased. So my question is what are the rest of you doing? Are you using some sort of spray lubricant or using a grease needle and getting the grease as close to the spot as possible? Or am I just plain looking at the wrong area?

there is suppose to be a button head fitting there to take grease. i have seen a pic of it once here or on the dtr but i can't find it again... i looked the shaft on my 04 over and didn't find one on mine...

Your in the right spot. There's a flat fitting on the joint. I haven't figure out how to grease it yet. Guess I'm goin to ask the dealer what they use.

Oh, forgot to mention this part... ...

You'll probably have to jack up one of the front tires so you can spin the front driveshaft. It has to be in just the right position for you to get the grease needle in there.
