I like the stuff Billy Lane builds too. I like the way he builds stripped down "junkyard" bikes. I also like Paul Yaffe. He has a rolling chopper kit that I am really interested in.

I preferred Bourget's bike personally. That was AWESOME! I'm not into cruisers but if I was to have one (and was rich) I'd have that parked in my living room. I'd take it out for rides but it would make great for the house when it wasn't on the road.

Biker build off

Cool set of shows, but Billy Lane was always in his own backyard. He never had to travel up north,or west too far until the final. I kind of liked the Perewitz bike. Very cool paint, rideable bike. However, after disagreeing with the vote, I gotta say Billy Lane BUILDS bikes, not assembles them. And I mean that as a huge compliment. I would love to have Perewitz flame my bagger! Then it would look as good as it rides. I built a chopped 59 Sporty years ago, lots of work in those pre yuppy rider/builder days. Very cool looking, hard on the ass, back, & hands. Don.

I've even recorded the show as I never tire from watching it. Though I like the old school bikes that Billy bends over his knee, I just can't resist the engineering behind the Bourget bikes. That would be my choice.

Guys, that bike build off show was recorded like 2 years ago, wasn't it? At least I remember watching it a LONG time ago.

Gotta love the bike with no centerline in the rear!

I saw that show quite a while ago... and again recently...

I was rooting for Dave Perewitz (sp?)... with his New England "Clam Chowdah" accent... . it reminded me of my old stomping grounds. :)

Bourget's addiction to cigarette boats is pretty impressive... as are his bikes. He's doing something right to afford those toys.

Bourget

At the shop where I get parts & some work done (on my Electra Glide) There is almost always a Bourget bike there. It is not the owners. The chassis is Phenomenal! But the nasty motor shakes the snot out of everything. Something is always falling off or loose. I hope it is because the bike`s owner knows nothing about it, or is afraid to work on it. It would be a shame to own a bike that beautiful that was unreliable. As good as it looks on tv, you will not believe how stunning it is in the flesh, er, steel! Don.
