Lockjaw Auto-Adjusting Locking Pliers?

My old Stanley-Bostitch nailer blew a seal[again],and I found an out the door special on a Porter Cable framing nailer. This nailer is a lot like the store brand, and it makes me wonder if Porter is actually building the Rigid nailers. These drive nails from 2'' to 3. 5 ''

Depot had it for 199 bucks with a 35 buck instant rebate on air tools. Out the door at 164. It takes the same nails as my Paslode cordless, and should make stocking nails much simpler.

The old nailer cost 399 dollars--20 years ago,but new technology always is expensive than the out years. This new nailer has many more features than the old one as well

A few months ago I purchased a set of three at Costco for about $167. 00 -- framing, intermediate and brad -- I think the brand is "Campbell. " So far I've used only the smallest one, to install 400 sq ft of cedar closet liner. Worked fine, no problems. I'm a hobbyist, not doing it for a living; these will not be worked hard and should last me for many years.

I am totally amazed how cheap nail guns have gotten. My first finish nailer was in 1980 and I paid 220. 00 (Senco). It's nice to see more players in the market to keep the cost down.
