Lol yup, and 4. 10 gears! Looks like a towing mirror on the left front fender, so it must be for real:eek:

I remember back in the day, when every Airstream was pulled by a Caddy - - and then Chevy put a V8 in the Suburban and the next year 1/2 of 'em had Suburbans

Is that an old Caddy?

472 - perhaps a 500 cu in engine, th 400 transmission, beef up the suspension a bit, that sucker will pull better than lots of much later 3/4 ton trucks...

Now, stopping and cooling might be a bit of an issue... :-laf

One of my co-workers is a Chrysler "nut" on the old stuff, looked at it and declared '73 Newport.

That would be something to see with the 5'er attached.

well lets face it the big old cars were built in some ways tougher than some of the 1/2 ton truck built and had a lot of power to spare.

Very true. My dad had numerous Ford "Ranch Wagons", which was the cheaper trim package. With the trailer towing package, heavy duty springs, bigger brakes, and extra cooling, they could out tow many half tons of that time. Not to mention the three-way tailgate:-laf

Well,it's settled then... . glad you guys approve!! Gonna keep my 01' though just in case diesel goes down... . :-laf Honk when I pass on the Interstate!!!

That ol' girl will most likely have a 440 under the hood. At very least it would be a 400. I have a '65 Dodge Polara 880 Convertible which is built on the same chassis (C-body). She's got a 383 HP under the hood backed by a 727. I used to pull a 23. 5 foot West Wind with her. The big Mopars are great road cruisers.

We had a preacher in the 60's that marched to a different drummer as far as cars go. The first thing I remember him having was a plain '59 Pontiac Catalina (I think) with straight drive. Then he switched to plain Chrysler Newports, all baby blue, 383 2 brl carb, three speed on the column or in the floor He always kept two, trading the older one every year or so. I used to ride to school in Spartanburg ( 200 mile trip) with his son. I-26 was new then, and was practically deserted from just outside Columbia to Spartanburg on Sunday nights. We would make that 90 miles in very little over an hour every time. They were geared up so tall that they weren't bad on gas. Mark

Alan.

What a nice Raptor! Looks like they went along the lines of the new painted style. . very busy!

Was wanting to get the new Blue and yellow graphics that is on some of the new ones.

Thanks Eric.

The colors that I have and the colors you mentioned are the only two available as a full-body paint option. The blue toned one was nice also but I chose this because I liked the contrast of the two colors. Well worth the $7k price option to have the full-body paint!!

I ordered the e-brake and had my new tires installed. I got my new mirrors installed yesterday and my Pac-brake compressor kit will be in soon. Then I will be ready for a shakedown run!!

Did you look at that car... ... . my brother took a picture of that on I-4 in Florida. I like to see that thing hooked up to a trailer..... that would be a funny sight!
