Greatest Drop if "Gas" prices in history!!!!

OK - sorry I can't find the source on google - BUT about 3 hours ago on the Hour news - a radio reporter actually said that this past week had seen the Greatest drop in gasoline prices in history! WTF - My Diesel went up this past week and now is 80 cents MORE THAN REGULAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should be glad it is only $. 80 over regular. We are over $1 more here in Nebraska. The Cheapest diesel 3. 23 the cheapest gas 2. 09

Cheapest diesel around here is $3. 54 and gas is down around $2. 20

We've got the same thing here, though it's really screwed up. The normal diesel places I get fuel from have the best prices usually. They are all at 3. 13 a gallon and upwards. I managed to find a Hess station that was at 3. 09 friday on my way south to pickup my boys. This is the last station on the 90 mile stretch of highway that usually has decent prices. So after my 98. 00 fillup, I'm cruising down the road feeling pretty good about finding a cheaper place, I come to the first podunk little town and Diesel is 2. 99 a gallon, I'm a little perturbed by this, and continue driving. The next podunk town, at one station, Diesel is 2. 89 a gallon, that's 20 freaking cents a gallon cheaper, now I'm ******. I got down to Bueafort where I pickup my boys, this place usually . 10 cents a gallon Higher than in Charleston where I buy my fuel, and it's actually cheaper as well.



So what the hell is going on, it's like the freaking cosmos has flipped on end or something. I can't wait till christmas and I pickup my 100 gallon transfer tank an Mom and Dads and can use it to ride these high's.

Some stations went down a little here in Cal. Several 3. 49 stations went to 3. 13 but the 3. 15 station (Shell) hasn't budged yet.

Hey Morph- That's what I thought too, but unless you're better at reading tea leaves than I am- (doesn't look like it ) you just end up buying MORE fuel and find it cheaper down the road. Sure wish there was a better way for us to know what prices were in a given area.
