Had the tuning done on my 2016 Nov7. Drove by their place and received excellent service plus cash discount. Since then have pulled our trailer, aprox 6500 lbs over 3000mi. Tuning does eveything they said it would. More responsive throughout the pedal range, better fuel milage, aprox 16 - 20 towing, right arround 30 not towing. Both an improvement of a couple mpg. Very impressed . Have had no issues to date. Currently 44,000 km/ aprox 30,000 miles.

They worked wonders on my Jeep Liberty. The oil stays clean now and the run quality is night and day different. I actually have power now!

I don't have any personal experience with them, but they receive great reviews from the Mercedes diesel owners group site.

Keith in one of the best tuners there is. Will get GDE the day our Jeep GC ED arrives. It's on order now awaiting the EPA to get there head out of their butts.

You will be waiting a long time my friend. Hopefully they get their wings clipped after January 20th, 2017. We have lost too many good programming outfits due to government overreach.

Yes, Don, I know. I did hear the Colorado diesel got certified recently. Just gonna have to wait. Aggravating. -"Dear President Trump, Can I please have my Ecodiesel now?" -:-laf
I don't think a dealer will "catch" the tune, more likely, they'd re-flash over it. I'm gonna get a spare ECM. It will pass all emission test and all hardware in place.
The ecm security is so tight on the ED, that very few tune it, and there are no end user tuners. EFILive tried and gave up. So not really on the radar of the dealer techs like the trucks.

Installed GDE on my '15 at 7k, my regret was not getting it sooner. Throttle is very responsive, almost no turbo lag and best of all better mpg. Yes it voided my warranty and 20k miles later I have had zero issues and zero dealer visits. I do my own oil changes and other basic maintenance. I got the High Idle, Regen Message & Engine Brake options, I will eventually get their new oil pressure system too. And when the time comes when the DPF/Exhaust system starts to gives me problems, I'll go straight pipe and get their off road option as well.

Is anyone using the GDE hot tune along with another tuner? I've talked with them and know the don't "recommend it". Just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with it on the EcoDiesel. I am also aware that PPEI provides a tune for this use and I would like to know if anyone is running their tune in combination with another tune.

Did you delete your EGR? If not how is the truck doing now with the GDE items installed? Any problems. I'm trying to decide if I should buy a '15 Ram eco diesel. Living in Florida I would delete all EGR items. Sorry for my misunderstanding of your thread. But any info you can share is helpful to me. Appreciate your time.

The standard GDE hot tune basically turns off the egr and leaves and the hardware in place. DPF is still there doing its thing. But without the egr pumping soot into the engine, it runs a lot cleaner so dpf has less to do and regenerates much less often. Plus GDE tune doesn't trigger a regen until the dpf is "fuller" than the stock program and I think it runs the regen longer. The SCR stays in place but the urea dosing is changed and it will not require refill between oil changes. I think the urea is just "token" dosed so as to need refill only to keep it from going bad. The tune does a lot of other stuff for drivability and overall is fantastic. I can put the stock ecm back in for dealer trips since hardware is all intact (except for unplugging Provent and returning CCV back to stock). You can get a "off-road" tune for a complete delete of hard parts.

I installed their tune at 33k and am still happy with it at 414k. Big fan of the turbo brake option. Its very reassuring descending a long grade with TT pushing you and makes it easy to control speed with only occasional assistance from the TBC if and when you are towing heavy. (over 6k down a 6 percent) In fact despite towing TTs my original brakes went 293k. Always received excellent service as well. Just don't tell that one guy. He has some kind of inferiority complex with them and trys to undermine them and the Ecodiesel in general at every turn. Hope he don't come in this thread and read this I will be attacked relentlessly.
