I have one. Its OK. Not sure I got it clean enough the last time I cleaned it so it doesn't seem to flow like it should.

Bottom line: If I was to do it again I'm unsure if I would get the same thing but don't have a good reason I can put my finger on. I'd more likely go with either a BHAF or a AFE.

On the other hand, thge turbo on my 97 spools up a LOT faster then my daughter's 96 CTD. I have a 4in exhaust, stock turbo and ATS exhaust manifold with the Green filter. My daughter has a stock exhaust, stock turbo, stock exhaust manifold and AFE filter. Otherwise the trucks are pretty much the same.

We use them in all of our intake kits and we have no problems with them. Like any filter cleaning them at regular intervals is important. We also use some of their replacement stuff when our dealers ask for them but mostly in our intake kits. They flow great and last very good. They have a stainless mesh so it is a little tougher than most and they also use a woven cotten instead of a cotten gauze.

I ran my last filter for 15K without cleaning it and I get them very dirty. I just wanted to see if it would let anything through. Well I took it off and did the little finger swipe thing and got nothing and the oil analysis did not show anything out of the norm. I kept the filter as it is good to show people what NOT to do with them!
