Geno's #49 catalog pg 18 at bottom of page states 94 - 99 ONLY

How about just using a green epoxy paint if for some reason you forget you are driving a diesel

Go to California (at least in the L. A. area) and try using the green colored nozzle at the pump in your oil burner. OK, don't-it's the color for unleaded (I think like 85 oct or something). I don't know this because I filled up my buddy's CTD with unleaded on Sepulveda or anything. I've just heard of this. Right!

P. S. -Does California just have to be different or what?

OK-who thinks thinks California is the normal or the rest of the country? (When it comes to pump nozzle color?) , (OK, about everything else?)

You all are wrong. Texas is the only normal state. :-laf

But I agree. They should come with green caps. I would imagine you could paint the original one. Just don't know how long the paint would hold up.

My brother in law stopped at the CO-OP the other day and filled his Ford up with what he thought was diesel. Well when he went inside to pay, he told the gal that he had $50 worth of diesel. Well the gal told him NOT to start his vehicle, as the driver had dumped 8,000 gal. of unleaded in the diesel tank over night, and they had just called and told her of the goof!

So ya better smell the nozzle too, even if it is green...

I have nothing against a GREEN Cap, BUT I don't understand HOW a Green Fuel Cap will save you from placing the wrong fuel in your truck?

What am I missing?

Seems perhaps it is better to first place a bit from fuel nozzle in a clear container and smell it to make sure it is diesel Just in case like example above " driver had dumped 8,000 gal. of unleaded in the diesel tank"

it's got nothing to do with wrong fuel, nozzle covers, who put gasoline in who's truck, what they do in california or texas or being color blind. i just wanted a green fuel cap with "diesel" on it because i like how it looks, it's really that simple

I don't care about a green cap, but I think all diesels should have a 4" diameter cap. That would sure help with faster filling.

Ummm... because sometimes people loan their trucks out and the green cap reminds them to put diesel in it.

I know this would come in handy for when my dad borrows it. ;)

Green Cap

:{ After putting gasoline one time in my truck, the green cap was on order from Geno's. Everytime I open the filler door it screams out, "IDIOT".

up in southern ontario canada, the only station with a green handle on the diesel pump i can think of is canadian tire when they have diesel pumps. almost everywhere else they are black [and the gas pumps have yellow, blue and red in color if they are separate handles for the different grades]
