I am looking for an aftermarket air filter and don't know which to get. Most places carry K&N, but I have just heard about the GREEN filter. What are your comments please.
As far as I can tell the Green filter is the same as the K&N. I have had one in my '03 for almost 30k and the air meter still has not moved off the minimum setting. I'll probably pull it to clean soon, but it still looks good. They tell you to buy the Green oil too, but it is the same as the K&N stuff. The sales guy said the K&N oil would just change the color of the filter. HTH.
I saw the entire Green display at Carlisle last month. Looks EXACTLY like K&N, except they're green. :-laf Seriousy, I wouldn't use either one of them with our engines - I believe Cummins, not only Dodge, frowns upon their use.
