Grid heater catch fire burn house down middle of winter in Alaska

Truck in garage attached to house. Recall just came up on my I phone 12 app dated November 3 the day I picked up my new truck. Sweet deal. Is this real on my new 2022. Should I worry or is this old news

In general you can always look up recalls several ways. Direct from MFG and also from NHTSA. Along with all sorts of other lookup tools sites have developed to pull from these databases.

From whay I know vehicles are not supposed to be sold in most states with active safety recalls.

My new 2022 arrived at the dealer a month or so ago. I went to see it while they were washing it & prepping it. It had a big sticker on the windshield "Grid Heater Recall".

Well I called my dealers service department this am. First time in 20 plus years when we going thru the lift pump drama on the 1999 24 v At any rate I was not put on hold . Explained my problem.He used my phone number to look me He understood. Then we went to scheduling to get it looked at and possible replaced if needed. 10 minutes later he called me back to tell me it had been checked in the pre delivery inspection and was logged in the computer as fine. No house fire for me
