Today I installed an oil press switch into the top of my oil filter housing to deactivate the heater grids after the engine has been started. https://www.turbodieselregister.com...age=15&highlight=grid heater fix&pagenumber=2
After I finished it occured to me that this has other applications. Have you ever started your wife's/parent's car, got distracted then reached up and tried to start it again because it was so quiet
only to be rewarded with the sound of starter gears trying to mesh with flywheel gears that were already turning??How about the new gen 3 owners who are used to a properly valved Cummins clatter. Wire that switch to the starter relay and all will be well.
