Need A/C clutch for 1989

Hi All,

I'm new to TDR, so forgive me if I'm overstepping my bounds. I was browsing through the 'Tips for new 1st Gen Owners' thread when I found this, and thought it should be here. Thanks to Rob (rkubicki) for originally posting this.

HARD TO FIND PART:

The grid heater power solenoids for 1st gen trucks are no longer available through Dodge. The original manufacturer of the solenoids, White-Rodgers, still continues to make them. They are sold by White-Rodgers under the name Stancor. Go to the following URL to find a Stancor distributor near you.

www.stancor.com

The part is actually called a DC power contactor and its Stancor part number is 120-901.

I have the White-Rodgers and Stancor data sheets for the part at the following URLs:

As far as I know, the other components for the grid heater system are still available through Dodge or Cummins. rkubicki, you talked about the grid heater solenoids not being available from DC anymore. You can buy them direct from Cummins under p/n 3916301. This was brought to my attention by my Cummins parts guy who is just great to deal with.

Sniped from another thread.

These grid heater relays are pretty common - they can also be purchased through some Freigthline dealerships if you are in a pinch.
