I went to start my truck this morning, and I noticed that the "wait to start" light didnt stay lit. It came on with the other dash lights as it went thru the check sequence, but didnt stay lit. Truck started fine, but its not really cold yet.

Any ideas on where to look ?

Thanks,

TRat

Also, how late when you paarked the vehicle. The intake temp can be a lot higher than the ambient temp. So if you parked the vehicle late it may not have cooled off enough to cool the IATS even though the outside temp was below 60*.

I just went through this a couple of weeks ago. I also did not hear the clicking, so mine ended up being the solenoids being bad. I replaced them and everything is good now.

No codes. They did come on this morning, but not for nearly as long as I would have expected them to. Maybe a couple of seconds. I was going to drive my car this morning, so I didnt start the truck. It got down to 38 last night, and was about 40 when I went out to the truck. My "wait to start" will normally come on in the morning, even in the summer. .

I didnt listen for any clicking. When I get a chance this morning, Ill go out and give a listen. Thanks for the replies.

I lost my wait to start light, fuel pump 1 sec run and grid heaters.

Was cured with a ECM dealer reflash.

I get jtec & comm buss codes, do you get any?

Can't load Smarty. Bought another ECM but didn't install it.

I think the same thing went in the ecm as mine. That happened a year & 1/2 ago... still runing on that reflash, OK.
