Grill & Brush Guards

How about some input on grill & brush guards for our 03's.



There is a local welder here that builds some very good looking ones. But has yet to do one for the 03's. They are god for stout, could use them to move a big Angus Bull out of the way.

Have you checked out the Eisley, They are built in Tx. REAL STOUT fairly heavy. dropped the front of my 2k about 1 inch.

Ask a body shop about the grill guard versus the complete bumper setup. I was told that the guard only setup causes more damage than it prevents.

I have one of these bumpers and the quality is very good.

Grill/Brush Guard vs Bumper

Guys:



I know all the facts and issues concerning bumper vs grill/brush guards. Brown's Welding makes both really rugged. All I want is if I hit a deer, it won't eat the radiator and leave me stranded. I didn't want the road warrior look on my wife's ride.



If I ranched or really worked the trails, I would consider the whole bumper setup, but for what I want, the grill/brush guard works.



Bottom line: balance between weight, looks and function.

Full Bumper and Grill Guard

Here is a stout grill/bumper guard that bolts right to the frame.



A fellow I just meet with an 03 , built this guard, will do one for me for under $400. 00.



By the way this is his first Dodge, has been a F**d man all his life. Said he would never go back to a F**d#ad

Have you looked at Silver Star Manufactureing? I know a couple guys with his bumpers on their second gens and they love them. I've been to his shop and he's got a real nice setup.

Check out www.buckstop.biz or call 1-800-431-6978 they are in Sherwood oregon. I have one of their bumpers on my 03 with a 15000lb warn winch and this is a excellent bumper custom made just like the factory bumper. I believe it would stop a Mack truck

This is only a grill guard, and is a factory deal, but I'm cool with it. It could probably have brush guards easily attatched, I'd just have trouble finding a GOOD chrome house.
