The grille faux chrome has de-laminated and wrinkled pretty badly. Would like to remove the badge in order to install it on a replacement grille. Will moderate use of a heat gun work to release the adhesive enough to run some fishing line between the grille and badge?

I tried to remove mine and use it on the Sport grille. When I removed it, most of the black and the red letters came off. I couldn’t redo it to my satisfaction, so I got one of the newer 3D emblems and modified it to fit.

I had to grind it down a bit to fit into the recess. It’s not a great pic but the best I could find.

Yep. Clear silicone was what the mfg used to adhere the badge on my grille. It was only applied on the center about the size of a nickel.

Ordered a replacement grille, however it arrived w/o the 4 studs installed at the top. It has the holes to receive them. One had already broken off from the oem grille. Considering removing the others and extracting them by cutting the plastic from around them. It appears they are glued/epoxied into the plastic? Fairly sure someone here has run into the issue before.
