IS there a company still making these for our trucks? I don't want anything fancy, just the basic two uprights with two pipes connecting and a couple light tabs. I found one in a JC Whitney catalog and ordered it. Got a notice that they cancelled my order due to unavailablity.

Carl

I also would like a front guard.

I want a DEER guard. One jumped out in front of me going up my driveway and it would of not hurt the deer but possibly broken my grill. I also need a good place to mount some driving lights as I havent gotten around to that yet either.

I believe Layne (Denver Offroad) is making stuff for 1st gens. I talked to him briefly about a bumper for my '92 with a grill guard, but I never went ahead with it.

Mike

Yeah, DOR and Buckstop. biz are making full bumpers for our trucks but I'm just looking for the simple bolt on model. It looks good and provides a protected location for lights. Besides, I don't have the grand and a half it takes to get one of these. :(

Carl

Oh, okay. Yeah, the cost was the main reason why I held off. At the time we had a baby on the way and not knowing how much those things cost I figured it was best to keep my money in the bank for the time being. :D

I've bought two from junkyards. Check and see if there are any around that have quite a few Dodges. If you were a little closer, I could see what hapened to the one on my old 93; noticed it was without bumper or guard last week. But you never know here in inbred Redneckville.

Are you looking for one that looks like the one I have on my truck . Look at my truck in the reader rigs section . I got it from a friend that sells truck accessories out of his house . I think it came out of California .

Try a web site named "truck add ons.com". They have a huge selection of guards and bumpers. I found one there. Sarge

The brush guard that came with my truck was made by Luverne Truck Equipment in South Dakota. It is of very high quality. and I like it a lot.

Their web site is www.luvernetruck.com. I don't see any 1st Gen accessories listed on the web site, but it might be worth an email to check.

If you are looking for some up-front protection. Try www.aliarc.com These people make some very strong aluminum guards. Their site only shows guards for the 94 and up models, however when contacted it appears that they will still make them for the older trucks as they have kept the drawings. This company makes the guards for big rigs, so they know what it takes to make a guard to withstand hitting large animals. Hope this is of some help. John.

Thats the problem with owning a first Gen. No body makes any accessories for them anymore and if you do find a company that does they don't offer much. Most only offer stuff for 94 and up .

Wayno,

I'm looking for the exact grille guard you have on your truck, is there any way you could pass on your friends information so I could order one?
