I was going to buy a Luverne Grille guard off of a guy. I put it on and got it all centered up then went to open the hood. The grille caught on the top of the guard. By pushing in the grille I could get it to clear. My question is if other grille guards have this clearance problem. It wouldn't be too big of a deal until I need to get under the hood at below zero temps, knowing how plastic is. Thanks

I'm not sure how the Luverne guard mounts to the truck, but would it be possible to fab up some spacers to space the guard out from the bumper a quarter or half inch?

I've got a Westin Sportsman on my '01 and there are no clearance problems with it.

Every grille guard is a little different, just like our trucks. I've never had the same guard fit the same on two different trucks, or vice versa. Thats why I always custom make the guard for each vehicle.
