grinding gears (lightly) when turning left

I am not new to the tdr just new to posting, I have a 2K 4x4, that when you are making a moving left (usually downhill) turn, I get a gear grind (like a standard truck with bad synchros) except the noise comes from the front wheels or front end ??, I just had a total transmission rebuild, and the transmission guy says it has nothing to do with the transmission, the noise is light not like a gear lockup, like something is falling into place.



any info is appreciated

It's probably a bad front axle shaft U-Joint. They tend to make noise on turns when they are shot.
