Grinding noise when turning

A new gremlin has started to make itself noticed. Whenever I turn tight low speed turns, suc as parking lots, I now hear/feel a ginding sound that seems to come from the front wheels. Could this be spindle bearing noise? Any help?

It's probably a bad front axle U-Joint.

I agree. Jacking the front with the wheels turned hard one way and spinning the tires will help isolate the problem.

same prob??

I have the same thing started hapening at 23,000 miles. I looked at brakes, they're fine. Bad u joints?? Hope not. THe truck is a 2001. 5
