Clean those injector tubes

I have a slight grinding sound when I turn my truck (even if I barely turn it left or right).

I check the diff. and the oil level seemed ok. Is thier something else I should be checking or is it is LSD?

do you think D/C put enought friction modifer into the diff, or is that just how the lsd works?

I had crunching sounds that started after my nerf bars were installed. It was really bad.

I got under there last night and laid into all the bolts with a big wrench. It's down to a grind, but not nearly as bad.

Not all the bolts moved, and the ones that moved went less than 1/4 turn, but it was enough to make a difference.

You may want to try that.

Frank, have you added something new to your truck lately that could cause this grinding? If it just started grinding, maybe it's caused by the most recent installation. Maybe someone can help you pin point if the grinding is coming from the front or back of your truck.

I haven't add anthing since it was new. I'am wondering if the factory added enough friction modifyer (sp?) to the diff? I'am thinking about taking it in for service.

It's not stuck in 4x4 mode is it?? Mine grinds a little on dry pavement in 4x4 turning. . .

The LSD could be stuck, however this problems on happens once or twice a month.

You need to add Mopars friction modifier to the differential. It is common with the dana 80 limited slip to have a ratchiting or grinding noise. That means there needs to be more friction modifier added. Easy fix!! #ad
