I originally posted this in the accesories forum, and I'm not quite sure if it is legal to post this here, but I was just wondering if anyone has these one their truck, and if so, what is your opinion of them? I did get one reply in the accessories forum, and to whoever posted, I appreciate it, just also want to hear others experience(s). I know that there are more than one type of nerf bars, but these look the best to me, and I kinda like to stand out in a crowd, with more than just owning a Dodge;) Thanks in advance, James

I love them... . I wish they extended out a bit more towards the back seat, but besides that, they have been great. The are rock solid and mount right to the frame. I am starting to get a bit of rust on the bottom of them from rocks hitting them and wearing the chrome. I highly recommend them. I have more pics of my truck in the readers rigs area.

Thanks alot for the pics and the info, that is an absolutely great looking rig. I knew that I had seen it before, but couldn't remember who had it. Man, that is exactly how I want to set my truck up when I get the money. If you look at my signature, we almost have identical trucks, and if I ever get the money to set mine up like yours, you better be looking for a twin:) I cannot tell you how much I admire your truck, I havent' even seen it in person, and I think it looks absolutely spectacular.

So, back to the bars. Some of my friends are kinda short, not to mention my parents are gettin alittle old, so gettin into the truck has become a chore for them and these steps look to drop down alittle more than the norm. Is that the case? 'cause if so that would be great. I'm six foot five, so I don't have too much of a problem hoppin in, but one girl I know is four foot ten, and has been buggin me about steps for quite some time now

What kind of shell is that on the back? The next upgrade that I'm looking at, after some steps, is a shell, so any info, advice you could give would be appreciated.

Thanks, and God Bless, James

They do step down a little, but not more than other steps I have seen. Most steps use a spacer and drop down below the drip edge of the truck. The double bend just makes it more obvious. The shell is a Snug Top High Liner. It is also a quality product. Don't get discouraged about the price of aftermarket items. Just do a little at a time. This is my second truck and I ended up putting the shell, nurf bars, and spray in bedliner into the load when I purchased the vehicle. (I used equity I built up in the previous truck. It was a 98. 5 that dodge ended up buying back from me because of a lemon law brake pull problem. Imagine that, a pre 2000 truck with a brake pull that couldn't be fixed. ) Anyway, thanks for the compliments on the truck. It does everything I need it to: hunting, hauling, ect... . By the way, my wife if about 5' 9". She has no problems getting in as long as she uses the grab handle.
