Ordered a Grizzley Grill Guard for my '01 on Nov 05 from Trailblazer Inc. of Lexington Ky. (BIG mistake)

They shipped 11/07, and I received the kit 11/09.

Went to mount the guard on Sat. 11/10, and found that there was NO hardware, nuts/bolts, brackets, or instructions in the box.

Couldn't get ahold of Trailblazer until Mon. 11/12

wherupon they basically washed their hands of the problem, and went back to the manufacturer to direct ship me another hardware kit. (didn't Trailblazer have another kit on hand to get me my parts THEY were missing, and get Grizzley to ship them the parts later?)

The hardware package FINALLY arrives from Grizzley

on 11/28. (OK, there was a holiday in there) Only there is no assembly drawings.

Called Grizzley direct, and they faxed over a copy of the drawings.

Went out AGAIN to mount the Grill Guard Sat. 12/01

and found that the lower mounting brackets won't fit my '01. Looking closely at the drawings, the brackets look like the ones in the drawings, but it is marked for the 94-97 Dodge Ram.

Called Grizzley direct today 12/03 to get the proper brackets sent. They are doing inventory today and won't be able to ship till later.

So it's one month now, and I still don't have my Grizzley Brush Guard mounted YET!... It's charged against my credit card, though.

Update...

12/10/01 - Still no mounting brackets, has been a week since Grizzley said they would send them out, and 5 weeks since the wrong parts arrived. (but my card is charged)

Real great customer service from Grizzley! :p

Apparently they don't deal too much with Dodge truck owners- none of the parts are correct for them.

Call your credit card company and dispute the charge. They claimed that what they were selling would work on your truck right? It's pretty clear that that wasn't the case as originally shipped. Even after you tried to work with them to resolve this, you still don't have what you ordered (a product working as they claimed).

I'm sure that Grizzley is an honest company, however the fact that you used your credit card allows you to take measures to keep them that way. ;)

Good luck,

Mike

If a company sells something, and items are wrong or missing, and makes no attempt to correct it. I would put a flame under them and dispute the charges to my charge card (you didn't get what you ordered) until it was corrected.

This isn't even basic customer service. In my business, I try to correct things with the least amount of inconvenience to the customer, either borrowing from stock or making the manufacturer drop ship the items, the responsiblity is mine to get the customer what he ordered, after that , I'll do what I can on basic tech problems. ( On another note... customers aren't always right and some have no business with a wrench in their hand) :)
