Does anybody know who makes some Group 31-sized Gel Cell deep-cycle batteries? I need a couple for my Lance camper, but can't find any anywhere. Optima doesn't have anything that big... heck, they only go up to something like Group 24.

Optima used to make a group 31, but quit for some reason.

I found an "absorbent glass mat" battery (same technology as the Optima) called a "Lifeline" (I think it's made by Concord). It's a group 31. Has better capacity than the Optima 31 had (when they made it) and it cost less. Here's a link: http://www.lifelinebatteries.com

You should be able to find it at your local "Batteries Plus" or some store like that.

West Marine is a good source - they sell East Penn "SeaGel" G31's for $210.

Try looking at a discount boat supplier, Boat US and West Marine are the place I buy from in emergencies otherwise I try the local Marine supplier warehouses.
The ones I use in my large boats are made by Rolls battery company and last 4-5 years but are costly. In the water I'd rather pay than row or tow.
