Who makes a 6" exhaust...

??? Where can I find a Truck to buy???

With everybody getting their tax returns back. Wouldnt a nice vendor be willing to do a group by on a cam and springs. Or head studs, o-ringing or anything else i might need. :-laf

Ok i guess i should have added dealers to. Thats why i was kind of throwing it out there to see if one of them would like to talk to the vendor and run with it. I myself am in the market what i listed and would probably get it all done if it could get a good price. Stage 2 cam and studs, the head i would see if i could do a core change out since i couldnt afford to have the truck down that long.

Group buys are great for the consumer but not very fair to the dealers in there respective areas. Just keep in mind that if there is ever an issue that the people that buy off of the group buy call the person they bought it from and not a dealer for help. The dealers need some protection of there investment. (much more than 1 cam)

That would be great Poole. How long would it take to do the head if i sent it or would it be a core change.

See what kind of price he would do it for and min. people.

I myself want the full meal deal cam, springs, pump, hoses, o-ring, studs and . 020 gasket. (how much do you thing for my price?)

Thats one of the reasons for group purchases (the consumer). It offers a better price and yes it might be alittle harder to get the customer service but im sure if there is a manufacture(? spl) or dealer that is willing to do alittle leg work her or she will do all that is possible to make all right. Ive had GREAT customer service with the Smarty and i live in Indiana and Bob lives in Washington. When i bought it i was in Texas. Bob tried 4 time in one morning to get ahold of me on a return call that in my book is OUTSTANDING customer service.

I also was in a group buy for the HTT manifold with woodsrat at the same time. he even paid the extra shipping to have it sent there. Another AWSOME experience with customer service.

Im sure Poole sill stand behind anything he does. Ive personally not heard anything bad about his customer service.

In my opinion the only vendors it will hurt is the ones that are not trying to call and get the prices from their suppliers and helping out the consumer. Im sorry that we have a difference of opinions. Im just the consumer that wants the best product and best price.

Ponci,

If you have a problem with one of your suppliers; dont you think it would be easier to address that through a phone call or email to them?

Because the way I see it your trying to throw guilt on the consumer because you are not getting your dime out of the sale?

If you are burdened by people with performance part issues then charge for your time $.

I am not throwing guilt at the consumer. I do however feel bad for the dealers in the areas that the group by effects. Do to the investment that the dealer has to make to be able to buy at a competive price and resale to the public. Thats the only reason for a price schedule. If i do however have a issue with a supplier believe me i will contact them directly. You have no clue what i have been through. But if you check all my posts i haven't complained about them. I do call them if i have a issue. I am not one to hide behind a keyboard. I like to face people eye to eye. I am just saying what other dealers are affraid to post... ... ... Have a great day!... ... . Brad

Shopping around is great. I dont have a issue with that at all. All i am trying to say is a group buy price is sometimes the same price as a dealer is charged. And then the dealer in the area is asked all the tech questions. What would happen if you went to best buy and bought Sony speakers and you had a question or a warranty issue and called Circut city? What do you think they would say?

Come on guys, i dont want this to be an argument session.

My thinking is that if the dealer calles the manufacture to set up a group purchase the discount is going to be from the manufacture. Say me being the dealer usually buys something for $500 and resale for $700. If i would talk to the manufacture about being able to sell a certian amount for say $300 my mark up could be say $200 and now i can save you $200 dollars on the total price if i sell it for $500 and still keep my profit.

Thats what my thinking is.

I myself will probably do most of the work myself.

Heck if Ponci wants to work up a price i would be happy.

They'd probably say "call Sony-I only work for minimum wage. " :-laf

Ultimately who ever sells and delivers the product needs to be prepared to give the support. If it isn't a dealer, then the buyers need to be aware and prepared to pay for any support they need in return for the discount they may receive.

Whether you give support to a new customer that didn't buy from you is a business decision that you have to make based on the potential for future business.

This is getting out of hand and i can't seem to explain this issue correctly. So that being said i am very sorry to anyone that i have offended. I am also sorry to JCutter for hi-jacking this thread. Once again sorry to all... ... ... Brad

i would be interested in helping you guys out, our priceing would depend on the volume, as far as a deep discount goes! let me know thanks :-laf

I think a group buy can be good for all if set up right.

The manufacture can set it up through their dealer network.

DIY'ers can buy at the discounted rate from a local dealer and those that want the complete job done can also get the discount and have the work done.

A percentage off for a specified time period.

What all would the package consist of.

Cam, springs, 12v lift pump (or not), Head Gasket (. 010 or. 020), 12mm studs (or not), fuel hose (? length, size). I would need an O-ringed head since it would be off.

The only hard part would be to get only the certian pieces everybody would want.

I would also like to have it around the first week in May (if my lift pump will hold out). Im leaving for all of April.
