Hi guys and gals,

If you want a great deal on a 4" exhaust, (not Jardine) contact me and I'll give you the details. Need at least 10 confirmed for the deal to go down. You WILL be happy #ad

I purchased a penny pinchers do it yourself 4" kit for 1/4 the price of other kits. It consists of 8' strait pipe, a 3 piece mandrel bent pipes. I had to also buy a 3" to 4" adaptor. The pipe runs from the first brace to the stock exit area. no crome tip, no mufler,no down pipe, and you have to weld it together or clamp it togrther. Sounds great for the money.

I'm very interested, please email me details(thanks!) but it had better be close to the JRE in quality and sound, before I'd consider it... I think there are a bunch of us out here that feel like we're not gonna get our money's worth with anything less than a JRE, after hearing about the Jardine install from a few other members... .

I have to go with Mike on this one. The DIY 4" exhaust system is the way to go for anyone that can get around a welder. All you need is 3 ID-OD 45's, 3 to 4" adapter, straight pipe, and muffler (or lack of) of your choice. I used a muffler and came in around $250. I doubt the group purchase price will get near that.

Ok folks,

This is a purdy good deal that should not be passed up. The system is being offered by Diesel Dynamics. The price is very affordable providing we get at least 10 people confirmed. Contact Keith Locklier at DD keith@dieseldynamics.com for more details.

I purchased the Jardine 4" turbo back exhaust system. I haven't installed yet (no time), but I laid everything out, and all the pipes and muffler fit together very well. The fit between the pipes is very snug. I'm pleased with the quality. After looking at pictures of the JRE and Diesel Dynamics 4" systems, for the the money the Jardine system looks like a steal. Quality seems equal if not better, and as far as value, you can't go wrong. Just my opinion. When I get it installed I'll let everyone know how it performs. -Glen

The moderator saw fit to delete a post on this subject, you guys may want want to check with Borla and get their R&Ds decision on these exhaust systems. You may save some money. The quality/usefullness of a product is what I look for first then I shop price.

Bringin it back up. Give Keith a call!

The DIY kits like Mike has may be great, but they have one flaw... no down pipe. From back of turbo down to under the truck, it's still 3" with some tight bends and kinks in it. The JRE and DD Turbo-back kits are better for that reason, it's worth the extra $$$$ to me.
Both Ted Jannetty and Diesel Dynamics have mentioned how the 2000 and 2001 have even worse or more restrictive down pipes than the 98-99's, if I remember correctly...
JRE and DD are very big on customer service, you will have no regrets doing business with them. I'm not taking shortcuts on a $40,000 truck...

Does this system require any welding?? It appears from the pic on the DD web page that it must because I don't see any hangers. I am interested though.

I called Keith at DD today to sign up for my 4" system... the details he gave me in an email and over the phone are very satisfactory... their system uses a straight thru design Walker muffler... A WAV of the sound is available at their website.
Not much time left on this offer, call him now and sign up for it !

DD told me their system does include the hangers, but they recommend welding the system as well as using the clamps they provide. Their hangers also use the stock hanger brackets.
