Justbeamm, You can put the factory fog lamps on you 98. 5 3500. I have 98. 5 3500 and I put them on myself with the kit from mopar. Yes the room is limited but it can be done.

I have not received my lights to tell you how easy it is (or not) to install them, but I did read that the factory wire harness for the Fogs is already there, all you need to do a "factory install" is to buy the switch for the dash, which includes a relay on it.

Are these lights street legal??? I am assuming not!?!

Then are not marked DOT. But the manafacture says if you aim them so the center of the MCS beam, is on the center of the headlight on low beam, you will not bother on-coming traffic. They have no reports of people with the standard white ones being stopped because they look stock.

Somebody just emailed me with some helpfull information. When you install these, replace the allen head bolts that are used to mount the lights to the CATX bracket with hex head bolts, that way you can get a wrench in there to loosen the mount for adjustments.

Can someone let me know how these lights for install and performance. I have a 97 auto 4x4 without factory lights. DC told me they weren't available on 97 autos because of the trans cooler. I would like to hear from anyone who has disproved this. Especially with the Catz lights.

Fatboy, the reason that they are not on the auto is for limited access. It can be done but you don't have as much room to replace the bulbs. I ordered the catz lights and I will post on their performance.
