Try to make this short.

Just got my new transmission, have noticed it shifts around 28-2900, before I couldn't mash the pedal near as hard cause of a weak transmission. Also, lately the idle has dropped, now in gear w/ AC on it is around 400rpm's

Is it the gsk that needs to be adjusted? and which way does what. It might not have ever been set right to start with, I can just tell now does'nt shift over 3k rpm. I'm going to move the plate forward now anyway, so I figured I fiddle with the gov too.

Oh, side note: Should I mess with the AFC?

Tightening the gov springs will increase the idle however there is an idle adjustment screw on the back of the injection pump. 10mm wrench is all you need to adjust it.

Adjust by using the low idle screw

i like mine at 8-900 RPM's

maleksandrowicz, how much power are you making with the 95? How hot do you egt's get w/o water/meth say in a 1/4 mile run?
Thanks for the reply guys, but do you think I might need to tighten my springs due to it shifting early?

Since its a Goerend Trans id say talk to them B/C they built it to your specs correct??

I heard they are really good at what they do, so im sure they would know

The last dyno was 465hp. With the meth off I can bury the pyro easily. If I have it on it will get up to about 1400 very slowly.

You can find that idle adj screw easier by having someone else hold the accelerator to the floor while you watch at the back of the injection pump. The bolt head and jam nut will come into view. A little adj. goes a long way. Something like an 1/8 of a turn and test for idle.

Does it start ok? If you need throttle to start it like me, I under stand the Gov springs need to be tighter. Otherwise you just need to adjust the idle.

Sounds like you'll be ok with an idle bump, in park mine idles at 1100 rpm. I'm hoping another click on the gov springs will allow to lower the idle. With the trans in drive with the AC on I'm at 850 rpm. Turn the steering wheel and mine dies. The 1100 rpm idle I have with the air off while in park is making my cool down time much longer.
