I am in search of a new phone. My problem is that I cant find one I like. Actually, more than just finding one I like, is finding one that I wont break in a matter of 1/2 a year, if I am lucky. My carrier is T-Mobile. and has been for over 10 years. My wife, my brothers, thier wives, my parents, brother in law... you get the point, they all are on t-mobile because of me. I dont feel like changing carriers just so I can get a rugged Military Spec phone like Sprint offers. Kinda pisses me off that t-mobile has seemed to become the "teeny-bopper" cell phone carrier and doesnt seem to think they need to carry any phones that dont "look cool". The Motorola i580 would be perfect, yet they only make it for damn Sprint/Nextel.

I currently have the V360 by Motorola, and by far its been the best phone I have had, but I am on the second one due to the speaker failing. I hate the rest of the "flashy" phones they now have, the wife has a V3 Razor and hates it. She dropped it from just a couple feet off the floor and it cracked the outer screen... that wouldnt last to long in my hands.

Any of you have any idea what I may look for? I use to always have Nokias, but got sick of them breaking on my in a matter of less than 2 months a pop, and have since switched to Motorola. Pretty use to the menus and functions on the Motorola now, but I am kind of at a loss as to what to get this time around.

One thing I like about the Motorolas as of late, is that they all use the USB port for everything. I can plug it into my computers USB port to either make a back up of all my numbers or somthing as to just charge it. Dont have to have a charger at my desk, just plug it into my USB cable I already have on my desk. Nokia uses thier own cables, so again, I would be looking at having to get new accessories, like a car chager and crap. I wish they would all go to using the same damn stuff... . the Mini USB port is soooo simple and easy.

Anyway, the only one I have found nosing around the net is the Motorola V365. Its similar to my V360, and is described as having a "tough exterior" but who knows. Plus, its not offered from t-mobile, but at this point anything I get probably wont be and just be a unlocked GSM phone anyway.

Thanks for your guys help btw!

I'm not sure how long ago your experience with Nokias was. I am still on the same one after two years. I am a utility lineman and am not easy on my phone. I have dropped it twice off a pole onto dirt and it is still fine. Battery life is good even when I'm in an analog area. This is not a flip phone. I cannot find a model number. The digits are a little small on the screen but I think that is more my age than anything else. Good Luck

I have an LG that I have really abused and even tho it is scratched all over it still works fine. It has been totally submerged, dropped, stepped on, dropped from the bucket of a tractor while trimming a tree (hit the bucket and fell about 10 ft), baled up in a big round bale of hay.
