My instrument cluster is all jacked up. All the gauges and lights will turn on and off at the same time. The gauges drop to zero and the lights come on. Everything returns to normal with in a second or two. gauges it does this i hear a click (like a relay).
First thing i did was remove the EDGE thinking it might be faulty (like so many times in the past) But it made no diff.
I took it to the dealer and they said its either a bad connection or a bad cluster. After they checked it out they said it needed a new cluster and they would have to order it. 5 days later they got it and replaced. Told me to come get it.
I picked it up and as soon as i pulled out of the parking lot it started to act the same as before.
Dealer says it has to be a "crimped wire" somewhere.
I read a few posts on IPOD adapters messing with the cluster, but i dont have one. Any ideas?
I dont really want to take it back to the dealer so they can waste more time.
