Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
On my way home from work tonight my gauge lights went out folloed closely by my dash lights. I have my gauge lights tapped into the dimmer wire (orange/black?) in the back of the light switch. Before I got home I was able to smell something not. I kept feeling the switch assembly but couldn't feel anything overly hot.
I got home and was able to get the dash lights working again and noticed that with the dash lights off the transmission temp gauge would read right but with the lights on it would peg high. I haven't dug to deep yet as its hard to read wires in the dark. but it looks like I only have ~ 1. 5 volts to the lights for the gauges while the dash lights work.
I will see what I can find in the morning. Just posting to get some possibilities
