I just received my gauge kit from DieselManor. The truck is an '02 24 valve 2500 with a six speed. The kit includes the a pillar mount, boost, fuel pressure, pyrometer, and all the fittings and wiring needed. All of the guages are ISSPRO. The installation instructions look very complete. I was wondering if anyone has any idea how long it would take to install the guages. If you guys have done this before, do you have any tips that might help me out? The main question I have is where to install the banjo bolt for the fuel pressure guage. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a picture of the correct location?

Thanks for all the help,

John

John,
I got the same gauges from DieselManor except for the fuel pressure gauge. I read the install instruction after I was finished. You are correct they are very detailed. I had about 3 hours in installing everything. The only thing i didnt do was wire the gauges into the dimmer switch. Overall they are very easy to install and the look great with the pillar mount. Mine is also an 02.

Dimmer switch for myself was a must. On a long haul home and it being dark out I hate the contrast or bright gauges to the dimed dash lights. To each their own. :)

I bought the big line kit from vulcan that goes from the fuel filter to the VP44. It has a fitting already on it to install a fuel pressure gauge. My truck loves the extra fuel it is getting also.

I am planning on wiring the gauges into the dimmer switch. The only bad thing is my guages were delivered during the first week of archery season. Looks like they'll stay in the box until I can find and elk.

Follow the fuel line out of the fuel filter to the VP44. There is a banjo

bolt going into the VP44. Take it out and replace it with the one

you got from DM. The EGT pre turbo probe will take you several hours to

take the turbo down and block off from getting shavings into it.

The bolts are a little difficult to get at. After that things are a lot

easier. Have fun!

Try This.....

Guys, On the 24 Valve 2nd Gen,(Most Likely for the early 98's [undervalved :p:rolleyes::eek:], too. ) Hook up the gauge light power circuit to the FUSED side of Fuse #5, it’s the 5-Amp fuse, on the fuse panel on the side of the instrument panel behind the Drivers side door. It's already Dimmed through the Instrument Panel Dimmer (Headlight Switch)
