I have a new 2001 quad cab 4x4 auto trans 4. 10 gears. The only mod I have done is the BHAF. I tow a 28 foot aluminum horse trailer that weighs in at 10,000 loaded. I will install fuel pressure, Egt, and Trans temp guages soon. I was wondering if they are easy to install if I have shadetree skills. I don't know where in So. Cal to go to get them installed myself. Once I hit 35,000 miles I will BOMB this thing and I was wondering if I should install a boost/egt combo? An info will help... ... ... Thanks

Not too difficult......

Any half way decent shade tree'r should be able to pull it off.

The gauges you mentioned are the most important. If your not going to modify the boost gauge would be the least important.

Why would you want to wait until the warranty is up to modify?

You don't have to Bomb to the levels seen around here. I put the EZ on mine and WOW:D what a difference. Simple install. Takes less than 30 sec. and instant power. And will stay within the specs of the transmission. Although I would recommend upgrading it anyway. Easy removal for warranty work and no signs of tampering like some of the larger fueling boxes. My milage also increased. With the BHAF and the EZ my EGT's stayed safe. I added the 4" exhaust for sound and to drop them a little more. Oh yeah that increased milage some too:D

The choice is yours. But if you want to wake up the sleeping beast within your truck the EZ is the way to go.

Just my 2¢ worth,

Garrett
