my gauges went dead again but this time i am 250mi from home. the odometer says no bus and guages are dead. do you guys think it would hurt anything to drive the truck home? i just had the trans rebuilt so this is just another thing to fry my a$$

thanks --- drew

Power has been derated and the truck now is in "limp Mode". Without any communication from sensors etc the default program will give the truck basic run parameters to getcha where ya gotta go. It does this to avoid further damage from over rev , harsh shifts etc because it has no input from sending units to tell it what's going on. Hate the sounds of it but it sounds like you may need dealer support here. NoBus codes are notorious for being the toughest to crack. However they also can be "Oh there it is" easy too.

i tried driving the truck home and got about half way it started to run funny and then it died. both batteries are dead like the altornator was not charging them. i had it towed to the dealer. any ideas??

i lost my complete instrument cluster about a year ago. my dad brought a mac tools obd-2 scanner home from work, it listed a possible cause of clutch fan relay. i switched relays and everything was back to normal. your transmission relay is the exact same number so you can switch the two to see if it will fix your problem. hope this helps!

sorry about that, i was thinking off the top of my head. i just went and looked it is the BLOWER MOTOR RELAY. i also had the no bus come up on my odometer.

Blue , A trans relay  Have they even begun to look at the central timer module? StraightsixJeff (I think it was anyway) had some inportant insight on the CTM on my last NoBus.

it was a ground wire for the pressure soliniod in the valve body.
