Ok I'm starting down the path to the dark side..... I've pretty much settled on Spa guages. I like digital stuff. I'm planning on a EGT/Boost (dg-111) and fuel/oil temp(dg-112) on a double A pillar mount.

Question are: Can I use the oil temp side of the 112 for my transmission temp? Any dealers offer spa kits or will I need to by parts left and right? Any suggestions?

Any input or link for install you guys want to throw in are more than welcome.

Thanks,

BFC

PS Any good excuse for the wife while your at it... ... ... ... ... ... ... . ;-)

Sound like a good set up. :D :D As far as the wife goes, speak these words.

It is better to seeeeeeeeeee the trouble beeeeeefore it happens and saaaaaaaaaaave looooooooots of money because you (the hero of this story) had the forsite to get the proper tools of the road.  Does that sound ok. Worked with mine once. She would not let me use it a second time though. :D :D :D

SPA Gauges

I have the SPA combo boost/egt gauge. It has worked well for me except for the electrical connection to the boost sensor. It has been troublesome intermittently but is going to be replaced, I believe under warranty, soon. A newer more durabile connection has been developed which they are supplying. Hopefully it will solve the problem.

Don't let me keep you from buying the system as it works great.

You will love the SPA's. Big Saint mentioned Nowell at Performance Diesel thats where I got mine as well. Yes you can use the oil temp side of the gauge to use for your transmission temp. The SPA's come with everything you need except the fitting you will need to place the probes in where required. For the Boost if you mount in the rear of the block you will need to pull original plug and replace with a 3/4 to 1/8 NPT. You could also drill and tap the intake horn. For the EGT you will need to drill and tap the exhaust manifold or the elbow for 1/8NPT. Won't get into pre or post debate. For the transmission you will need to decide where you are going to place probe in the pan or in the cooler line. In cooler line you will need to get either a kit from Janetty Racing or replace the cooler line with an OEM line that has a tap in it. Also MagHytec transmission pans have a port in them. If you do a search here you can probably find that part number for the OEM cooler line replacement. The fuel pressure sender just do a search and you will find a variety of ways to do that one. I am using one of Ray Torresdals modified banjo bolts with the tap in it and it is working great. The only other thing you will need to do is decide where and how you are going to mount them A pillar, dash pod etc and you will need that piece. I am using the A pillar which I got from Genos and a can of matching mopar interior paint. Really an easy project a pita (some tight areas) but relatively easy. Also TDR member Brandon has installed many of these and is a wealth of Knowledge in their installation. Good luck.
