hey guys what is the best, easiest, and cheapest type of guage set up to get?

i kind of want egt, boost, and fuel pressure.

thanks

Issopro EV. I paid $260ish for FP, Boost, and EGT. Then whatever the cost of the mounting (a-pillar, dash, steering colum), and probably another $15 in misc parts at the hardware store.

i have an 02 HO. I have put in some big car stereos for myself and friends do you guys think i could handle this gauge project?

Not quite the same animal as car stereo, but not difficult by any means.

Do a quick search on gauge install, you'll find more info than you need on here. EGT is not hard at all, boost is even easier. FP is probably the most involved install, but only because you're tapping into the fuel delivery system. None of it is rocket science, just do your homework before you start.

Oh, I will give one more vote for Isspro EV's. I also got mine through Rod at www.wildcatdiesel.com same as Shovelhead. Rod is a first rate guy with first rate customer service. Piers Harry at www.piersdiesel.com is also one of the finest, and he carries Isspro EV's as well.

I just did mine. Not bad at all, just take your time, plan everything out before you start, and make sure you have all the tools and parts you will need.

I would say that the EGT was the spooky part of my install. Sitting on top of the valve cover drilling a big a$$ hole in the manifold.

I ordered my gauges factory direct through Westach, and got boost, egt, and fuel pressure w/ sender, for 240, that is shipped to my door. Great gauges, really like them, and maybe its just me, but I don't care for running any type of fuel into my cab, no matter how good diesel smells:) God Bless, James

The only time I've smelled diesel fuel is when fueling my truck.

Use top shelf parts and you won't have a problem.

3+ years with mechanical gauge on top of my dash and not a single drip.

Shovelhead, definitely not sayin' that they will all leak, nor am I saying that any will leak, and I am sure that high quality parts will keep that from happening. I just feel more comfortable with fuel, of any type, outside the cab of my truck. Definitely not flaming on the mechanical gauges, and if the electrical gauge from Westach was not reasonable or affordable I would have the mechanical. James
