Help.
My fuel canister drain valve is leaking a steady stream of fuel. You can follow me around town just by following the drops of fuel on the ground!
So I was able to find where replacement canister valves or o-ring kits are available for models '97-'99 and '00-'02. I was not able to find any repair kits for the 3rd Gens.
If there is no way to repair the valve, then I would need to replace the canister, right? They seem to run between $270-$330 from the online Dodge vendors. PartMaster shows one for around $180. Nothing on Rock Auto or most of the other regular parts places. Of course, I would ask, if that's the way to go, is there a cheaper Cummins part number?
Or, maybe I should just use this as an "opportunity" to upgrade to one of those dual fuel filter kits...
Either way, I will improve my fuel economy in a really big way!
