OK this is what is goin on, my cousin has a 99 ctd. DD jammer 40 turbo only hittin 32lbs???? Has FASS, comp drag box, Don M mach 3 injectors, 4inch exhaust and afe cannon, this is what isnt makin sense. It seems you guys with stuff like this are in the 13's and high 12's, this truck is 15 flat 15. 1, 60 foot best was 1. 9 and its only hittin about 84mph on the 1/4. Another thing just dyno today and it only hit 240hp, 640 ft lbs. Something has to be wrong here. Box was on 5 has a, has full trans done by Goran or however you spell it . WHat can be the problem do you think. Thank you for your help.

With his mods, you'd think he would be in the 400hp range, which is where he needs to be to run the kind of times mentioned.

Also, most folks that have great 60' times launch in 4wd. with quite a bit of boost. Is your cousins truck 4wheel drive?

Of course first thing is to find out what his power issues are.

Good luck, RJR

Added in edit; weak injection pump, my guess.

Could be a very weak injector pump. You neglected to say if it was a 4wd or 2wd. There is alot of variables that effect 1/4 mile times. With the mods you listed I would not expect to see very low 13's more likely high 13's to low 14's if all the other parts are working.

sorry guys, yea its 4wd, he launches it in 4wd, has a switch on the trans, when spoolin up on the line, it can only do about 10lbs before it starts movin forward. yea mid 13s sounds about right, but were in the 15s. no good there. my buddys duramax is embarrasing us, cant have that. thanks guys gonna have to check the injector pump, it blows a ton of smoke but its like its not gettin the fuel to even spin the jammer 40.

Did you check for boost leaks?? Check all boots make sure they are tite and no leaks. One way to tell which isn't the best but the way we tell on our pullin' truck is to start the truck and spray ether around each boot. If the truck shakes or idles up or down when you do that then you have a problem withe the boost. I once had a leak on the tube that went up to my boost guage and i was loosing 15psi on a very, very small line. I would check that and definately check fuel pressure. Does he have a fp guage?

if so what is his pressure?

When I had a wastegated turbo (PDR 40) I could not get above 32-34 psi. I adjusted the wastegate numerous times with no change. Finally I just took a pair of vise grips and pinched the WG hose shut and I got 48-49 psi. Also the guy that I sold this turbo to has the same problem and currently uses the same solution. Might be worth a shot, give it a try. Hope this helps.

No Power

240 HP?? sounds like the comps not working, Right Pump wire tapped? ( seen it happen) Another poss. is the VP might just be shot. Just a couple thoughts.
