When our site was down for service, I visited the Phord site and made a few comments. Man though guys are touchy about their Power Pukes :D Is there something wrong with the Power Pukes that make these guys so protective? I just said they were ugly low quality, and sounded funny and they got all upset

Stirring the pot...

Yea,I seen You over there causing trouble;) . They really hate hearing that the P. O. S. D. is a light duty diesel,But we can't help it's stamped right on their valve cover;) . Doug

I make fun of them too, but give credit where it's due.....

I love to make fun of the Powerjokes, but at the D/FW Dyno day, there was a red Ford that made 480hp with an improperly working propane shot. It was working, just not like it should. I had to do this... .

:--)

Thin Skinned, Methinks?

I heard the military was looking for an abundant source of simultaneous launching scatter bombs. At that level it shouldn't be hard to find. DUCK! :--)

I was told yesterday by a guy that has a powerpoke the reason they have tow hooks is to tow them in when the transmission fails. He said this about his own truck. He hasn't pulled anything either. On his 2nd transmission now. less than 10,000 miles.

The Fords are great trucks. Not my first choice for obvious reasons, but I got friends getting over 500HP out of them. As for how touchy the guys are over on the Ford site, well, of course. Insult any man in his house, see how he takes it. :D (I'm not knocking you, Big Toy, most of us, me included, get a laugh out of such things)

The truth is, unfortunately, it sometimes seems like I've met more nicer, "normal" people that drive Fords, than I have met that drive Dodges... .

how can "Normal" people drive a ford?;) My dad drives one and he's far from normal:D;):p

There was a BD dealer that got stranded in Independence,KS back in Dec when his hopped up propane sniffing Phord threw a rod through the block:-laf The guys at the dodge dealership told me about it because I have Tx plates and he was giong to Dallas.

I posted about it somewhere b4. I'd have paid money to geat a picture of MY dodge pulling that ford:rolleyes: but I missed it. :(

sense of jumor

don't they have to turn in their sense of humor BEFORE they are allowed to take delivery of the new phords?? i know i certainly lost mine while having the P hO rdS i had. ... phriends don't let phriends drive phords... ... ... :D

Your right Briar, they seem like a bunch of good guys that love their trucks just like we love ours. I was just bored and the TDR board was down so I acted like a "Jerk" to try and get some action going. Well I got it going :D Lucky for me Don was around to add some knowledge to the debate or I would of been **** out of luck after the fire works started going off  I'm kinda clueless when it comes to PSD's. They never really interested me. Don smoked them big time :D :D

My cousin just bought a 1994 Ford 350 and is looking for some info on it. What is the address of the Ford site you were on? It's his first diesel, so I'm trying not to be too hard on him.

The funny thing about this truck is it says on the side. "Turbo Diesel" but we think it is really a power stroke. What are the differences of the older engine, and the power stroke?

ford diesel.com

Great site for a Ford guy. The guys on the site seem very knowledgeable about all passed and present Fords. It should be a great site for your cousin to gain some knowledge.

PCrabill,

HEUI is the big difference between that motor and a powersmoke. HEUI = Electronic Fuel Injection, where as what is in the 1994 I believe is a 7. 3 indirect injection motor with a factory installed ATS turbo (At least that is what ATS claims). I dont know a lot about Phurds, but a quick way to tell if it is a powersmoke or not is if you can see the injector lines and injectors. On powersmokes, you cannot see them because they are internal in the head.

Hate to break this to ya, but the Ford boys think both of you are clueless. :(

They don't take kindly to Dodge boys saying this or that about their trucks, that is for sure.
