ok i need to figure out how much weight i can carry legally. I have a ford f600 weight rating is 21,000, and a 35 foot trailer weight rating is 24,999. do not know how much each weigh but how does this work? Dad has lots of cows and wants me to go get some bulk feed but i have to cross state lines and scales just a question thanks

Take the truck and trailer, unloaded, and weigh them (full tank of fuel). Then subtract that weight from the ratings (combined). The diff is what you can haul (allegedly legally).

That is what you wanted to know right?
