Scored both the H2 wheels and BFG's from Ebay and am now ready to supersize my wheel\tire package. Is there somebody who has done this who can share the step by step instructions for the required mods to the wheels? Thanks in advance!

If you do not have access to a large Bridgeport or CNC machine you can do it with a 4 3/4" hole saw and a file. I did mine with the hole saw method. I could only find the saw at Grainger, it was $50. I rented a 3/4" chuck low speed drill from the local rental place. You drill from the outside face of the wheel through to the back, there is a reccession the saw fits in, after you need to file the opening a little to make it slightly bigger. I will put a couple pics in my reader rig of the saw and drill. Be carefull as the large drills have a lot of torque and the saw can jam up easily.

h2 rims

i cut mine with a 90 grinder with about a 3 inch wheel. they came out perfect, can not even tell the were touched. mine had a little ridge to follow , they took about 15 min each.

It is a little disconcerting when the saw binds up, better be holding on tight. Regarding machine shops, the problem is most machine shops cannot do it with the tires on. You will never get a better balanced tire then one mounted and balanced at the factory as they match balance them, mine have very little weight at all on them. It does not hack up the wheel if you are careful, the wheel is not even clear coated in the center where you are cutting. When this set wears out, I will buy another set of wheels and tires complete, there is a Hummer dealer near by that sells them for $400 a set.

All you have to do is find a machine shop with a lathe that can take a radius of 17. 3 to mount the wheel / tire. If you werent so far away id tell you to just drop by my shop during lunch or something and id do it for you. Its not very hard at all, All they have to do is set-up a chuck that would hold it, indicate it within . 001 the go to the size you need... . For all 4 tires id say they will charge you for 1 hr. Or about 70 dollars.
