OK going to bring up a tired old subject, but I can't seem to find a straight answer. Will the rims off an 03 Hummer H2 work on my 96 4x4 with a Skyjackers D25 coils and (soon to be installed) DT 1/2 in forward control arms? I know there has to be some modification done to the rims, if this is not done "perfectly" will future tire changes and thus tire balancing be affected? I have an opportunity to get a set, but want to know if it's possible first. Thanks!

The center of the wheel needs to be opened up slightly. Some have used a hole saw, others have had them turned in a lathe, some use a die grinder even. The wheels mount hubcentric (not lugcentric), so the hole must remain centered.

Otherwise, the backspacing is about the same as the stock dodge wheels if I recall. I am running D25 coils and the DT control arms as you mentioned. I have been looking for some cheap H2 wheels, but for now I'm running the 3rd gen wheels with H2 BFG tires. My tires do rub the lower control arms when turning short. I'm not sure if the H2 wheels would make this any better. With regular sized tires you may be okay?

Alright, I may have to try these out then. I just installed my DTs, not as bad as I thought it was going to be, I shouldn't have waited so long! So I have to get the center hole perfect in order for future tires to be balanced correctly?

I thought the rims were centered by the lugs on our trucks and centered by the hub on the Chevy. -Jason
