Hey, anybody out there install a water temp guage? Where did you put the temp sensor? I have the dg112 spa that has fuel press/oiltemp in one gauge. Since the trans oil never seems to get hot anyway, i was thinking about using the temp side of the gauge for water temp. i am going to go fanless for the winter, and figured i could set the warning light on the spa to come on if she gets a little warm (just so i dont pull a stupid and let it get hot)

Rubberneck, when I was looking for a good location to put the sender ( hold you suggestions, thank you ;) ), Brandon suggested the rear most plug on the block, behind the Map sensor and adjacent to the firewall. I'm not sure if that location would give you the highest temp. reading, but it's fairly accessible and might be a place to start. Needless to say, you will lose coolant if you remove that plug, so be prepared for the flow and have the sender already in place on the plug if you try it there. I ended up allowing mine to monitor outside ambient air while suspended on the frame with a zip tie for quite awhile  . Mine is currently monitoring fuel temp.

Bigsaint, sounds like disturbed minds think the same. Mine is currently monitoring ambient temp as well. LOL just been too lazy to extend the wires to the diff, and now i figure why bother, may as well monitor something usefull, so water it will be.

HVAC, contact info sent. talk to you tomorrow.

I would guess the hottest reading would be closest to the themostat since the water is on its way out right there. Just a though, I think there is a plug you can remove near the stat as well
